When we want to buy a new puppy, we want to make sure that it will be around us for a long time. So the longer they live, the better it is. But, some dog breeds are known for short lifespans and here are 8 shortest-living dogs. It may happen that some of them live longer or shorter but these numbers are the average.

    How is it the the Old English Mastiff is not listed?

    Why would the AKC list mixed breeds. No Mastiff breeds listed, or Wolfhounds?

    The Japanes Spitz looks like an American Eskimo lives about 9 to 10 years. We had one he died 9 years old. I have a girl now she’s 4 I hope she lives longer.

    I’m really suprised the English Bulldog didn’t make the list. I know I’m some cases they live longer than 8 or 9 years but more often than not they don’t make it to 10 years. 8 is their average life span. And I feel the same way as other commenters; why did they include mix breeds? Like 3 of them included the St. Bernard AFTER saying the St.A
