From time to time the USDA shuts down illegal or unlicensed fur farms. Om of the downsides of this is the unknown fates of the animals inside. Sadly it is not always a happy fate, therefore some of these animals do not survive anymore. This is due to the fact that some animals are too ill to make it to freedom, and others carry deep emotional scars that haunt them forever. With all that being said, I would like to share a sad story of a wolf dog that lived in a fur farm in Illinois. When the farm was shut down, all the animals kept there found new homes. But the poor wolf dog did not have the same luck. The poor creature was sick and traumatized, so placement seemed impossible… and he was running out of time….
When rescuers got to the wolf dog named Zoey, they were shocked. The poor creature was really lucky to still be alive. She was infested with parasites and underweight.
